BladeMaker missing a few tables/pages?

cuTTer

SOC-12
BladeMaker (p.260) states, "Blades and cutting weapons can be assembled from the components shown here." What components? There are a list of categories and types, much like the start of GunMaker on p.251, but that's it. Now I realise that by and large melee weapons are vastly less complicated than firearms, but surely there should be more than this?

With GunMaker I can choose Pistol from the category Handguns, apply the descriptor Laser, the burden Heavy, stage Modified, user Grasper. After checking a few tables I know I have a TL12 Heavy Laser Pistol designed for (and probably by) Hivers.

With BladeMaker I can choose Sword... and that's it. No chain swords? No laser swords? Not even a user table for different racial manipulators?

Bad show. I guess I might get round to trying to flesh out BladeMaker for my own purposes when time permits, if anyone wants to share anything they've already done I'd be interested in seeing it.

You should be able to use most of the Burden and Stage effects on p253 with BladeMaker as long as they don't create unreasonable outcomes.

Alternatively you can use the master Stage Effects table on p500.

Just very quickly an Advanced Sword:

TL6 Mass 1.6Kg qreBs -2 Cut-4 600Cr

Thats very rough and fast and I've probably messed up somewhere but its an Advanced Sword created with the aid of computer design and CNC milling techniques on titanium alloys* to create a weapon that is feather light in the hand (1.6kg -2B makes it feel weightless). Its incredibly sharp and will probably cut** through machinegun barrels.

* This is total fluff and hand-wave science.
** Actually should Cuts not be Slash? Otherwise can blades penetrate armor? Cut is an injury not a weapons effect.
