Beaker Monkey for Mongoose?

They show up in the Library Data, but I do not know if their stats have been ported to Mongoose. I assume that you are looking for their psi-booster effects under Mongoose Traveller psionic rules?

Just basic stats, mostly. For a ship's pet. I had forgotten about the psi-boosting effect.

Thanks!

Here is the first two paragraphs of the description given them in JTAS Number 3.

Beakers (as they are sometimes called) are common on many worlds, both in the wild and in captivity. In addition, they are found on many
starships as pets. Their planet of origin i$ not known, but the animals can be
documented as far back as far as 300 years pre· Imperial. with a range almost as widespread as at the present.

Beaked monkeys typically weigh from 2 to 3 kilograms. and measure 60 to 75 cm in length, half of which is generally taken up by the tail. Tails are sometimes bobbed on animals kept aboard spacecraft. Beakers are covered
by a short fur, most commonly brown or gray. Black is rare, and white extremely so (roll 2D for 2-7 = brown, 8-10 = grey, 11=black and 12=white.

The write up in the Mongoose Library Data (current as of early 2014) basically summarizes the first five paragraphs of the JTAS article, without the die rolling data for color, and no information for the referee on Psi-boosting ability. That is covered in the JTAS article.

Just some speculation on origin, but given the wide range of planets that they are apparently found on currently where the occurrence is pre-Imperium, some connection to the Ancients might be possible. Against that, in both of the bestiary articles in JTAS Number 3 there are hints at pre-Imperium spreading of animal species. The following comes from the Sea Bear article immediately following the one on the Beaker Monkeys.

Sea Bears are native to Thengo, a planet in the Chronor sub$ector, but seem to have been used in pre-imperial colonization projects in the Jewell, Lianic and Massina subsectors, and are therefore not uncommon on many planets in these regions

The Kudebeck's Gazelle on Victoria is another animal anomaly, as the article, written by Marc, states that it is not native to Victoria, but given the apparent pounding the planet took during the Ancients War, it would have to have been introduced well after the war occurred, when the ecology had time to recover. The article does state that it occurs only on Victoria and in some Imperial zoos. The planet of origin is unknown.

Not the best of my knowledge, but I was happy to see that they were written up for T5 in Cirque.
