With the recent(?) and ongoing T5SS data inclusion on TravellerMap, we look to be either deleting or over-writing a bunch of entries.
Hi Stefan,
The Wiki is charged with covering materials with all sorts of canonicity, from
fully canon OTU, hermeneutic-compliant, via Marc Miller to down to materials which are distinctly
non-canon. Darkhstarr's materials are much admired and largely non-canon, for instance.
I don't recommend overwriting or deleting anything. Enhancing or improving, sure. But overwriting or deleting, not so much.
Thomas Jones-Low is the head of the Wiki, appointed by FFE, so I defer to his decisions on these matters. I would ask him if you have any further questions. He has been very good about answering my inquiries although sometimes it might take him a few days. He has an involved day job. Plus, he's one heck of a nice guy.
In general, I try to store older materials on a "meta" page and make the surface (up front) pages as T5SS compliant as possible. I noticed that pattern from Hans Rancke, one of the older, very stalwart fans. RIP.
That's my 10 cents. Please note that while I am an active Traveller Wiki volunteer, I am not the guy in charge.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
