Hmmm...that does sound like an amusing adventure. The players are hired to transport and provide support for a group of mercenary dolphins who have been hired for a mission on a water world. Smart-mouthed (and swearing) dolphins with tattoos on their flippers and cigars in their smiling mouths giving the players a hard time. God help them if any player makes a joke involving fish and jumping through flaming hoops. Yessss....it has potential.

Geekyness here; US Army and Navy have been using dolphins for some time for the same purposes. Who was the first to do it, US or USSR, I have no idea.

now there's an idea for an entire campaign. radio free imperium! (if the imperium is free ....) a transmitter ship dedicated to the dissemination of electronic truth and physical samizdat to oppressed low-tech worlds throughout the imperium! (or wherever they can get away with it ....) lots of opportunity there. shoestring budget ship defense systems vs low-tech state-of-the-art space assaults! covert landing actions! electronic measures/countermeasures! political intrigue! jail breaks! jungle/wilderness guerilla action! betrayal/bribery/treason! starving populations! spetznaz! the works!
