How canon is the wiki? It's drawing on GURPS to suggest the taint is fungus spores, but then it starts talking about burning wood in a religious practice that lasted all of 10 years - which, no way that's spreading through the entire volume of a standard atmosphere on a 5000 mile diameter world. That's getting into homeopathic concentrations.

There is a project which will be generating the official maps algorithmically from the UWP and a seed of the sector and hex...
