a module (on a hamster cage)?

Tellon

SOC-12
I am thinking of making my latest SDB a bit "modular" -- as I have 34 lk to spare -- and figured I could put them to good use as a "multi-mission space".

Thus --

Variant #1 - Piracy: 34kl cargo space

Variant #2 - Intelligence: 1 Sm Stateroom + 6 kl equipment (obviously for 2 agents doing "spook-stuff")

Variant #3 - "Police": 1 Emergency Low-berth (4 prisoners), 6 kl "equipment room"

----

So obviously with what I had in mind -- I need a 1G environment -- thus the hamster cage that already carries the space for the crew -- so this could be an additional space upon the haqmster cage -- but still a changeable module

question: Is this a possible thing to do with a hamster cage? (modulerize it)

*note: the module of course would have it's own heat, lights, LS -- but I figure a few cable hooks-ups to use the ships shouldn't be too hard

Should be doable. It's just an engineering problem ;) (don't be afraid to simply handwave it, it is a game :) )

Not sure if you've found something like this but I've been using a handy bit of Javascript coding for my own little spin habitat work lately that you might find useful. The direct link (1) doesn't always work for me so you may have to go back to the root page (2) I found it on and scroll down to the HTML link:

Thx

SpinCalc is a trip

401 meter rad
1.5 rotations/min
63 met/sec (at the capsule)
1.009 G

all showing green -- so obviously for a spin capsule -- your looking at something good sized, which is most likely why Lab ships are a "donut" shape to give them the G's they need.

the 4 differing outputs mean you can really tweak the heck out of the stuff .. so if you have a species that can take 2G -- the radius, rotation and velosity are a more -- but not as much as I thought they'd be ..

so pretty trippy link -- thx
