The new failure/injury rules are greatly more deadly than previously. Plus, permanent reduction by 10 points (in a worst case scenario) can make a character unplayable.
Under the old rules, a die was rolled for a healing effect. This seems to have been replaced by Flux. Also, removing positive mods is OK (same as before), but allowing the negative mods is a big hit.
It seems a little too lethal to me.
