Default Does Win10 screw with your soundcard?

I'm finding that my Sound Blaster Z wont' initialize every so often on boot. A few times I've had to reboot my system more than once to get the thing to initialize.

The motherboard has a built in soundcard (low fidelity, which is why I bought the Soundblaster), but when first put the card in earlier this year there was no conflict. But now it's getting a little cranky.

A quick search reveals nothing, other than apparently Win10 drivers were rare when Win10 first came out. But I've a hard time believing that now, especially for more recent tech.

Just curious.
