Default Cepheus Engine Skill observation

Just wandering through CE as a engine to drive a Proto-Traveller games, and I got to skills. Did anyone else notice that Sensors are controlled by the Commo skill?

I don't object to the combination, just wondering if there was a better title for the skill.

I dismissed Cepheus' skill section to the same place as MgT's skill section - too bloated.

In CT (and therefore proto-Traveller) sensors were subsumed by the Navigation skill:

The way I work it in CT, three skills for sensor work-

Navigation

Gunnery

Electronics

Cause remember, Electronics gives the ability to USE as well as repair.

If you want some detail, have a -1 for Navigation skill used for target sensor work, -1 for Gunnery skill used for navigation possibly detection, and Electronics yields -1 for both.

Hmm, perhaps only electronics can do ECM/EW.

Pretty close to my take for CT.

Just was pondering a skill name in the Baseline CE rules set....

I always think of Communication, Sensors and Electronic Warfare as all coming under the heading of "Signals". In my head it covers everything to do with the electromagnetic spectrum.
