Kinda makes you want to start up a stirring round of "Red River Valley" eh?

Shushudam (sp?) is known for its robotics conference and its underwater cities.

Interesting.

The drawings/paintings I remember had farms on one level, apartments and houses on another level, and businesses on another level.

The concept was before the Internet. So I can see a combination housing and business level for things that don't require hands on... but hands on has slowly gone away.

Of course, unique hand made items might still be a business in this type of future. I have seen mention, particularly just before Christmas, of several people who make hand made wooden toys.

On a planet lacking trees, they might make unique plastic toys. A nice arduino type controller inside; and it could move on its own, have different color lights inside, etc.

Darrian used to have an underwater city.

Sadly it was destroyed when repulsor technology was retconned out of the game and there was no longer a technology to hold back the water

I think it's back in at technological level sixteen, so within Darrian industrial capabilities.
