Inheritance: Jin has a small packet of art and "birthday" cards the children he helped raise had made for him. He also has an ornate, golden holo-frame programmed with images of the children and their father that was given to him when he left the family's employ. He always places this frame in his quarters or work area.

Bio: Jin was originally created to be a nanny and tutor for the children of an extremely wealthy business magnate. His function was to care for the children, and keep them safe from harm. The company is located on a world with a hostile environment and frequent storms, and the children's father was also afraid the children would be targets for kidnapping. With a shining golden skin and a friendly demeanor, Jin was very good at his job and came to care deeply for his charges. At the same time, he became intensely interested in biological organisms, and the mechanisms of living creatures. As his education was of benefit to the children as well as himself, his employer was happy to support Jin's research. Unfortunately, during a particularly intense storm, part of the facility was damaged and one of the children was lost while Jin was getting the other to safety. Both Jin and his employer took this loss extremely hard. It was not long afterwards that Jin's employer decided his surviving daughter was old enough to not need a nanny or tutor anymore, and because of Jin's sadness at the loss of one of his charges, he decided to change careers. He was hired on as a steward aboard a mid-level passenger liner, where he served until shortly after being promoted to Captain. He had decided he wanted to take a more active role in his own fate and direction, so he resigned from the company and has gathered his savings and benefits and has begun looking for a smaller ship and crew to either buy or join.

Oh, you great tease! Okay, what are your rules on having "leftover" or otherwise unused Language Skill points, to be applied to things found in the campaign?

Areri has 14 points of Skill currently tagged as "language yet to be named" (see the Word doc I sent to Gmail). It'll wreak a bit of havoc on the character-logic to leave points hanging, but what the hey, I'm game .

I'm curious about a general T5 rules question. Why can organic robot brains get a wafer-jack, but positronics can't? I think it'd be a nattural for aa robot to be able to load computer "chips" or "wafers" to augment knowledge skills, or maps or images. Even to download such info onto wafers. Also, is there any sort of info on "storage memory" for such things? I have a wireless network link going, but curious what all I can do with it. Still slowly reading the rules so might not have gotten to this stuff yet. Can robots get other augments?

Also Magnus, may I create/purchase a toolchest specialized for my Biologics trade, and would you want me to go through the whole process with Thing Maker, or just wing it as a specialized toolchest that's more exensive (I was guessing like 2x as much)?

Edit: I am also going to see if I can create a portable unit for recharging Jin's batteries "in the field". Perhaps a mix of solar and hydro recharging capabilities might be useful.
