I'm in the first-concept stages of designing a solo adventure for CT.
The mechanics would be similar to "Marooned Alone"; a combination of random event tables plus a series of specific encounters leading to multiple paragraph-based options. I'm hoping to make it complex enough to allow multiple replays.
My initial thought for the plot was to have a small group of mercenaries trapped behind enemy lines and fighting to reach the starport; similar to the "Pursue and Destroy" scenario from JTAS number 7.
I'm hoping to gauge player interest level and also to solicit input on alternative plot ideas so any constructive input would be appreciated.
It sounds interesting I have ocasionaly done one off short solos using traveller rules and the tables from FASA's Behind Enemy Lines. They occupy a lunch break or two and something like you describe should be better.
Develop your adventure setting and background as much as possible before plugging the PC into the adventure. The more the background is developed, the more it will suggest alternative actions for the PC. You also should do a rough general arrangement map of the area as well.
