Default Computer modern day tabletop-like rpg

It's called Cold Zero - No Mercy.

I haven't played this yet, but I've toyed with it a bit. If you're looking for a modern-day game that simulates a pencil-n-paper rpg experience, then this is it.

It's a top-down view (with some camera angle changes via the mouse) game about a modern day mercenary taking jobs, buying equipment, getting into fights, etc.

It's very much a role playing game in the pnp sense of the term.

The game is a bit older, but it still looks like it is some great fun. I picked it up for like $8 bucks. In the UK, I believe the game is called Cold Zero - The Last Stand (and I'm not sure why the different title here in the US).

Anyway, if you're hungry for a pnp experience but have no one to play with right now, try out Cold Zero.

Here's some screen shots and a review here:

Of course, you can do your own search and find other sites with info and screenies. Note the reviews are generally pretty good.
