Default Starship Deckplans

I made a few starship deckplans and put them up on DTRPG. They come with stats for the Cepheus Engine, but are usable for Traveller and other scifi systems as well.

A 700 dton jump-2 patrol ship (includes a civilian variant converted to a cargo ship):

A 1,000 dton jump-3 transport ship (includes a variant as military assault transport):

A 200 dton jump-2 space transport:

I have a new line, "Ships of the Conformity". They are ships made by a minor human race going out into the stars after reverse engineering the jump drive from a crashed Terran ship, but they can be used in other settings, too.

I think that the Stag Beetle and the Humboldt are my favorites. Still not sure about the traders.

While I have not sat down and tried to put together deck plans for any of the ships I design, I visualize most of them as similar to a slightly flattened submarine or cargo aircraft, from the standpoint of pressure differential. Sort of like the Traders and Gunboats Subsidized Merchant or a C-119 Flying Boxcar without the wings.

For a grav cargo carrier, I am adapting the CH-37 Mojave sans rotors and with a redesigned tail. You have the forward cargo doors for loading containers, 1.5 X 1.5 X 3 meters (5 feet by 5 feet by 10 feet), the power plant is where the rotors on the helicopter would be, with the engine pods the drive plants. The upper surface of the stub wings provides radiator space for the excess power plant heat, along with radiators on the front of the drive pods. The lower surface of the stub wings is where the contra-gravity panels are located, thereby giving the lifting force above the center of mass, increasing stability.

Because I am not sure about very small fusion plants, this would also work with either the big radial engines or centrifugal turboprop engines, supplying both forward propulsion and powering the lifting panels. That would put a greater limitation on range, but would still meet the requirements for a planetary cargo carrier for short hauls.

I like that, although I completely ignore heat management with my Traveller ships myself. In other settings, the biggest part of most of my ships is the radiator.
