Default Liberty (aka The New Line Continues to Excel!!!)

I just finished Liberty and was highly impressed. Compact but full of good information. Primarily, Wesley Street hit almost all of the high notes in crafting an excellent investigative adventure. In addition, his summation of law enforcement rules and tactics is simple and straightforward.

Speaking as a prosecutor, I would have preferred more detail on several things but Street's summation gives an outline that is more than sufficient for an RPG. The GM has lots of wiggle room to expand on the rules to enhance a game.

The two campaigns are well-laid out as non-linear. Both providing solid campaigns and, more importantly, a good outline for a GM to build his own campaign by simply following the template.

Frankly, if regular MongTrav is doing a reboot, then Street should be in charge of Agent. He did more for a solid cop campaign and giving guidance on investigations and the law in 4 pages than the Agent book did in its entirety.

I am including the entire line because Libreville looks solid but I haven't finished it yet. And the French Arm Atlas is pure gold. PURE. GOLD. When the bloody heck is it going into print?

For someone who stopped buying the MongTrav line due to poor product, I am happy to continue throwing gobs of green paper at the 2300AD line!
That being said, one glaring piece that is missing from the legal summation is the use of deadly force... PC's being PC's ;-)
"What's the point of watching out for assassins?" Floyt grouched. "The underhanded bastards are always sneaking up on us anyways."
