I haven't played Traveller in over fifteen years. I am itching to run it again. I have some stories to tell and would like to use MegaTraveller to do it.

For some reason (probably having to do with being slow) I cannot seem to wrap my head around the MT starship design sequence.

Is there a good tutorial or explanation online that anyone can recommend, or should I just stick to High Guard for ships and MT for characters and tasks?

Im at the same point your at. Im currently working on a hybrid rules system using CT and MT...and from I have learned from these forums most people who prefer MT prefer to stay with High Guard for ship developement.

In fact, I just purchased High Guard this weekend on ebay.

Anyway, good luck.

Any part specifically, or is it completely incomprehensible?

One piece of advice I always give about the MT design system is to leave the power generation section until near the end of the design sequence, instead of doing it second.

And here's a link to a ship design example that may be of some help.
