Exclamation May 1st, Traveller Day: MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

Hi!

Traveller RPG Headquarters on FB is planning some fun stuff for "Traveller Day". That's on May 1st (MAYDAY! MAYDAY!).

I'm excited to announce I have lined up some interviews with personalities from the Traveller publishing world, including our keynote speaker, Mr. Marc Miller creator of Traveller, plus other Indie publishers.

We are also giving out prizes from Mongoose and other sci-fi gaming publishers.

Some publishers will be sponsoring special Traveller Day sales, and more.

Come to the Event Page for more info.

Hope you can join us!

Kickstarter for Traveller 5.1 3 book set will launch on Traveller Day. The standard base purchase of the books via kickstarter will be 100$ usd.
To add a USB stick version of this will be an extra 5$ (or potentially at a lower tier for more without the books... Marc is unclear on this as of yet)
To support the kickstarter a 2$ tier is likely.

If anybody has a question they want to submit they can do it on the FB event page - I'll try to get an answer during my interview.

cue someone here boasting they have never and will never be on Facebook...

Thank you for doing this; I appreciate it, and it's a fun way to set aside a particular day to celebrate this thing we love.

I know it doesn't matter and this shouldn't bother me, but:

It's release "five dot ten" not "five and one tenth". The "." is a separator character in a semantic "major dot minor" versioning sequence, not a decimal point. The confusion probably stems from versions "five dot one" through "five dot nine" being written with a two-digit, left-padded number for the minor version ("5.09", which is "five dot nine" not "five and nine one-hundredths")

If you want to be that pedantic since Traveller is pseudo hexadecimal then is should be 5.0A

Wrong. Marc has no zero on the inner circle semi-final draft.

Who cares what the 'inner circle' edition says, we all finally get to see it soon.

I still think a pdf release before anything gets sent off to a print run is a much better way to do things, it means many typos can be corrected before it is finalised. Unless of course the 'inner circle' has spotted them all...

three more days...
