Are any new products planned?
Or is QLI slowly sinking into irrelevancy? It is my understanding the the Solomani Fighting Ships TA has been pulled by its author... Is the "In The Clouds" aircraft TA still moving forward? What about the 3rd installment of the Golden Age EPIC adventure trilogy (following the Forgotten War and The Gabriel Enigma)? Micheal Taylor - we need you!
I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering as to both the status of any new products, as well as the future of QLI, especially in light of the Mongoose Traveller release and the sunset of various licenses (which is when, exactly...?)
Although Hunter seems to be MIA, there must be others with some knowledge as to the circumstances here...

There are new products planned. They may or may not be released, completed or even past LOI's. Hunter's been busy with real life, and has had limited contact with the mods, and been unable to check/answer his email.
He is on top of the board renewal.

I could be wrong but that's not quite the way I recall things. Unless this is a different SFS TA. The original one was done but for the artwork (ages ago) was my understanding (and I was involved so I followed it, but my memory is suspect at times and things may have changed at some point).
This was before Hunter's first big troubles (last fall? two past?).
Then Hunter returned, started work on it again with a call for artists which is where Kharum came in.
Now Kharum has pulled his art.
Where this places the SFS TA (or any others) I don't know, and only Hunter does.
We await his return and news.

Since "Against Graviry" and "Through the Waves" proved quite useful for my
setting, I would very much appreciate to see "In the Clouds" published, whe-
ther by QLI or someone else, if that is possible.

So indeed I may be wrong, esp. re: Solomani Fighting Ships. By no means do I claim to be an expert in this realm and will be the first to admit the error of my ways. However, SOME signs of life would be appropriate if this is a professional company that is releasing products. If it is just a hobby of those involved (i.e. Hunter), then my apologies. As a hobby, he's done more than admirably. But as a player and fan for over 30 years, with a decade of publishing myself back in the day, I've seen a lot of companies come and go. The hallmark of those companies that survived were those that both changed with the times, but were also not dependent upon one individual. The question is -which category does QLI fall into?
If this is a professional company, the following questions are valid:
What is the effect of Mongoose re: current licenses?
When do the current licenses expire?
What products are in the pipeline?
Will they be able to be published in time for a meaningful return prior to any expirations?
If there is a roadblock, can it be circumnavigated, or should the product be shelved?
Are these timelines able to be announced to the public?
Will there be a focus for one system, many systems or systemless products?
Is there a business plan to work with Mongoose?
What about to operate under the OGL?
Are requests for manuscripts desired?
Will there be compensation?
Will past contributors be compensated?
Will products that have implied next issues (i.e. the third of the Golden Age EPIC) be published?
Will subscriptions to the TA be honored?
I'm not trying to cause trouble, nor am I looking to blame anyone. Many of the above questions have no direct relationship to me, but are valid nonetheless as an observer of the past 6 months events. I've met many friends here and value all who have contributed to our game. I honestly just care for the game and wish to know the status of one of the sites/companies that I have looked to for material in the past.
Thanks!

AIUI the T20 licence expires in about 3 years. I believe Hunter still wants to publish more stuff, but RL has other ideas.

So, is there any company or site still doing T20 products? Or is it just QLI? Or is anyone doing OGL t20 products?

As far as I know, only QLI does T20 products.
Avenger does some systemless products, but the MgT license killed off most third party Traveller options for what had been done before (for example all Traveller 1248 Era products are no longer available).
The MgT OGL could allow someone to publish OGL T20 stuff, but navigating the OGL, Traveller Logo and QLI (T20) rights would be a nightmare. For example, MgT restricts 3rd parties to the Foreven Sector (without a special license) while QLI/T20 'owns' the Gateway Sector (IIRC) which would require a sub-license from QLI.
With the exception of Character Generation and its related combat, CT, T20 and MgT are similar enough that adventures could be ported between them with minimal effort. Ship Deckplans can be used as-is among all three systems or re-statted with your favorite system. Which is all to say that you have some options.
