Default Space Engineers?

My neighbor keeps telling me this is a great game... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Engineers. I haven't had a second to explore it, but just from his emails, it seems like it's a cool way to build "space stuff" with a realistic physics model. Wasn't sure what the T5 community thought of it. Is it a useless toy for T5 purposes or has anyone found it to be of any T5 use?
