Default Science Fiction TV shows and movies

So, as per the Spindward Traveller TV show, I am curious what everyone here thinks, or rather opines, what they like, what they think makes a good science fiction TV show or movie.

I will start, or rather continue, with my Space 1999 example. To me Space 1999 is a sleek looking program with some problem. I think GypsyComet stated that the two leads were in the middle of a divorce, and that this caused production problems. I did not know this, and it's too bad, because for a 1970s TV production, it's a decent looking program.
