I'm starting a sci-fi larp loosely based on traveller in Irvine, CA.

Anyone interested check out our website at http://fanig.com/larp

Character creation begins online 3/18, first game is 4/21.

I'm afraid that I'm too far away to join, but I'm interested in how you're going to do the LARP. Is there going to be a starship for the players? Props etc. How will non-melee combat work?

Fantasy LARPs are relatively easy, all you need is a secluded forest (to protect your reputation) and reasonably simple props.

It's actually going to be set on a space station, although players may have their own ships to trade with between games.

Site will be a building on campus. This isn't an action larp, so combat isn't the hit people with nerf kind. GM compares stats to determine effect.

I leave it to individual players to come up with their own props, but they do get an additional xp for coming up with some sort of costume.

Sounds like a good location for it - particularly if you have basement levels with ducts in them. I just couldn't see this being believable in a house.

Best of luck with your venture and I hope you have many takers!
