8____ MegaTraveller Boxed Set
7____ Players Handbook
8____ Referee’s Handbook
7____ Imperial Encyclopedia
8____ Referee's Companion
7____ Rebellion Sourcebook
8____ COACC
6____ Fighting Ships
7____ Knightfall
8____ Hard Times
7____ Arrival Vengeance
7____ Assignment Vigilante
6____ Astrogator’s Guide to Diaspora

The major negative thought I have about MegaTraveller is the large amount of errata. I particularly enjoy the ship/vehicle/etc. design sequences, so those books that include them I rated more highly.

This may seem a bit redundant, since - to vote properly, one has to have either had or played the originals, and I'd hope the reprints would sell to a LOT (LOTS AND LOTS) of people who haven't had the pleasure of these products.

But I'll vote. Can't resist giving an opinion on Traveller, ever.

And Chet sez: OK, OK. Consider it e-mailed.

Gents,

0 ____ MegaTraveller Boxed Set
8 ____ Players Handbook
8 ____ Referee’s Handbook
8 ____ Imperial Encyclopedia
8 ____ Referee's Companion
8 ____ Rebellion Sourcebook
6 ____ COACC
1 ____ Fighting Ships
5 ____ Knightfall
9 ____ Hard Times
9 ____ Arrival Vengeance
8 ____ Assignment Vigilante
7 ____ Astrogator’s Guide to Diaspora

I liked MT, thought of it as CTe2 so to speak. The expanded chargens were a nice touch. The line provided us with a wealth of materials concering the OTU setting, giving us our first look at lots of things. I have problems with the Rebellion; think of it as belief suspender snapping, but the materials were good and workman-like.

I remember reading AV after buying it fiding out that the Real Strephon really was the real Strephon. What a feeling... The peek at an empire gone to hell was amazing too.

Knightfall was okay. Introducing the Primordials; aka Sparklers, aka Baddies from the Core, was intellectually lazy but that was DGP's hallmark. Continually roping in yet another powerful and ancient race that is more powerful and ancient than the last powerful ancient race gets real old real fast. Mr. Wiseman calls it the 'Fantastic Four' Syndrome.

FSotSI was the only real clunker in the line, so bad that it approached T4 status! Yikes!

Sincerely,
Larsen
