Once on the bridge Hampton makes a request over the crew-only intercom, "By the way everybody, did we get some numbers we can agree on yet about the work needing done on the drives and anything else that is important on the ship? Once we're down we all want to recreate but we need to make sure we can take care of the ship first, unless of course you like this place and want to live here. But too many lights are on on the Christmas tree in engineering for my comfort."

"Max here, uploading updated inspection report data."
[OOC: Once we get the robots back online and running at 100%, each robot can perform 160 man-hours of work per week and we have 2 in engineering and 4 in cargo ... that's 960 man-hours of repairs per week.]

Looking over the figures Hampton sighs, "Obviously we should concentrate on the things that will kill us first, and we really need to spend more time in jump on this stuff than we have been before now. If we have access to the heavy equipment at the docks will is help reduce the man-hours any, or is that a fixed number regardless?"
"And how much can you get out of the robots towards the man-hour requirements?"

The robots in the drive rooms are not that smart, cannot replace a crewperson. These are assistant-types, carry tools, lift heavy stuff, hand tools to crewperson as needed. They can take the place of an assistant while working, but not work independently.
The cargo-bots don't do repairs at all, they just carry stuff.
EDIT: I appreciate y'all wanting to work on the ship yourselves to save money; that is very reasonable and also good roleplaying. But it isn't gonna be free, fast, and easy. You can either take two weeks off and pay an A or B port the book price for annual maintenance, or else spend a LOT of time doing it yourselves, and still pay for the parts.
EDIT 2: On the drive room robots, you can count them this way: They don't work independently, but if a human is doing work with a fully-functional robot assistant, count the man-hours of the human effectively doubled.

[OOC: You're going to take your morning constitutional outside the ship?!? Well, I suppose that frees up the fresher for someone else needing it............

Different slangs here - lots of folks use that term to mean a morning walk or jog!, not a trip to the fresher!
EDIT: Anyway, you each have your own fresher in your stateroom, no lines, no waiting.

She might know someone on the crew (if she can get hold of a roster), but she has never heard of either the ship or the Captain.

And all of them work some of the time, some of them work all of the time and most of them work most of the time.

(OOC --We'll do reasonable routine maintenance while in jump to help reduce any further deficit of man-hours. Obviously this overdue stuff needs taken care of on the ground by more than just what is within our abilities, and we'll see what is really available on Devonia once we get there.
I'm more concerned with making sure it doesn't get so out of hand again since we have a full crew of capable people and robots to assist. )
For the time being, Hampton makes a request to the yards on Devonia (in whatever capacity they may be) for space and estimates on repairs to the M-Drive and computer using the data Max generated.
"Max, depending on what the yards have to say make the drive and computer your priorities while we are on the ground - you are in charge of getting that done, but clear the costs with me first so we don't bounce any checks. Use Bruno to help you and Leo get the bots up to full capacity once he's done with offloading the cargo."

When he gets a chance, Henry is going to start checking on the availability of parts for the mantenance 'bots and for the maneuver drives. Many may be TLA, but htere may be bolts, brackets, wires, or seals that can either be found or fashioned.
