Default Tisho Thinks

This thread is for things that Tihomir is thinking, or remembering, or planning. For some reason, maybe rhythm, I don't think they have a place in a relevant post.

Somewhen in the past two decades. The home of Tihomir's parents.

"Don't cry, don't plead, don't be afraid, don't break your word, don't forgive". Simple rules to live by, that Tihomir was taught from a young age...
Don't cry. Crying takes energy and time and gives you nothing. If anyone caused you grief, hunt them like deers and destroy them. If someone is causing you grief, fight back! If you live, you can get healing. He won't need it.
Don't plead. You can always take what you want from the weak. From the stronger, you can't, so there's no point showing weakness even if they have something you need. If they decide to give it, you'll get it. If not...well, it's better to use the breath to become stronger.
Don't be afraid. Being afraid is stupid, causing you needless stress and taxing your mental resources. Fear, when warranted, can make you stronger - living in fear, however, takes your strength away. Live as if you're going to die tomorrow, but plan for the future because you know no such thing is going to happen.
Don't break your word. A man is only as valuable as his word. If someone buys your word, he bought you. In the world we live in, laws are broken, or bent with the help of lawyers. A promise between men of honour, however, is not.
Don't forgive. Forgiveness is for the weak, and it keeps them that way. Your enemies should know the price of attempting a move on you - whether it's assassination attempt, or trying to cross you in business. The world will learn it, and word of it would prevent further attacks. When possible, make an example of your enemies: either make their ends very miserable, or make them very expedient.
"Still, it is ultimately the ability of the individuals
involved to play the role (by adopting the appropriate patterns of thought) that will determine the success or failure of the game
in portraying the Solomani as a race that is simultaneously human physically, but quite alien mentally and emotionally."
- Alien Module 6: Solomani (Introduction).
