vibroknives and vibroswords are a staple for sci-fi stories. does cannon allow for vibroblades or not?

A cannon would tend to render the user of a vibrosword rather dead before said swordsmith would be likely to close to within melee range.

As far as *canon* is concerned the weapons you inquire about have never been a part of the OTU. You should however not allow this to stop you from introducing them (or any other element you think might be nifty) to YTU if you feel so inclined.
