Default Using 1981 Drive Potential table with 1977 rules?

Hi All,

So my PDF copy of the 1977 rulebook seems to be missing the drive potential table. I have access to the 1981 version, and was wondering if there were any problems using that for design. The "Lost rules," supplement says there were substantial changes, but I'm not enough of a rules buff to understand all the implications.
I love the 77 rulebooks in all other respects, especially because they are already properly setup to work with my screen reader

Any thoughts on this?
