Default Galactic on iPad gen1
Wow there is a cool dos emulator app up on itunes, I was able to get Galactic up and running.



Yes it has a cool retro keyboard in portrait view.

I lucked out doing a google search and ran into a website where they described using a program called iFunbox, which I loaded onto my PC. Its functions like the iTunes program on the PC, with it I was able to load the Galactic program right into the power dos game folder. I also was able to setup a wifi connection with it between my PC and tablet.

Thumbs up Galactic screenshots
I am just amazed the more I play around with Galactic what it can do. It does everything and more that people are trying to recreate on more contemporary platforms. These screenshots are from my PC running Galactic since I don't at the moment have a screen capture on my iPad. The colors are much more brilliant than revealed with these screenshots, I posted them on my blog and I think the blogging site did something to them.

Everytime someone says they want to do a new app, all I really can think of is a Updated version of Galactic.

To be honest, I'd rather have a new version of Rob Prior's old Mac OS 8-9 Metator... that was sweet. It also wasn't compatible with OSX...

Interesting Aramis, I hadn't even thought to look at mac software besides hypercard but now that I have mini vmac running I think I might be able to run a couple of Rob's programs. Besides the demo's on Freelance Traveller, seems they are available on the BITS website for sale.

Mini vMac can't run it. It absolutely required MacOS 8 PPC, and you can't run MacOS 8 on mini vMac PPC.

Unfortunately it went out with OS9..... The last Mac I had that supported that kept catastrophically eating it own mother board...
