Starship drop-down turrets

I just added a post to my blog with images of drop-down turrets for starships. Heavily inspired by the "Escape from Hoth hangar" scene from The Empire Strikes Back. You can find the post here:

Does anyone else use these? Since I don't do the gearhead thing anymore I never really count these as part of the ship's tonnage, consider power usage, etc. They're just something to give a ship a little more flavor and give the PCs an additional toy to play with.

You bet.

You don't want B-17 gunship levels of the stuff unless it is a Striker vehicle anyway, but it's right ion line with the 'right tool for the job' ethos of the game's archmeme.
