Default Traveller Ship Minis!

Squadron Strike---Traveller has added a bunch of backer levels that are Traveller Ship Minis!

65 bucks a box:

#1 (Imp) has a Plankwell, 2 AHL, 2 Gionettis, 4 Fer-de-Lance and 4 Chryssies

#2 (Zho) has a Viepchaki, 2 Kefchenzh, 2 Zhdavidlits, 8 Zhdiak

#3 (Misc) has an (Aslan) Elsyel, Alteasea, and Hroilriea; (Imp) Atlantic, Sloan. a Gazelle with launch, and Skimkish; (Zho) Driafria and Vlezhdatl.

For $200 you get all three of the above and a Scout, a Beowulf and 2 Pinnaces.

I did the $200 level. That ends up 5 bucks a mini...

The Gazelle is in RPG-scale, not the fleet scale of the other miniatures. Ken Burnside is trying to help out people who were caught in the mess of someone else's Kickstarter.

The "Miscellaneous" box 3 is there so that people who bought the previous versions of the Imperial and Zhodani fleet boxes can complete their fleets. Fleet boxes 1 and 2 have had their contents adjusted a little to better match the box miniatures that come with Squadron Strike: Traveller.

The space maps used in Squadron Strike: Traveller are available as a free download (you can also order the pair of map sheets for $12+shipping). The largish hexes form a 32x18 grid on each of two sheets, with continuous numbering down the columns (the top hexes are xx01, the bottom hexes on the second sheet are xx36). The maps measure 36" by 24" each.

Decor is a star field with a nebula on each sheet.

Go to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...er/description. Thenn click Updates and click the March 9 update.

Enjoy!

Default P.F. Sloan 2D ship display for Squadron Strike: Traveller

The 2D ship display helpfully incorporates play aids on the left side. The ring tracks where your nose is pointed and you record your vectors in the boxes around it. The two "wedges" below that are for plotting your thrust: by marking a hex, you can distribute your thrust between major directions, so you're not artificially limited to thrusting straight ahead.

To the right of the play aids, the various ship systems are grouped into ten numbered rows (with sub-rows inside them). This is the damage alocation table for the ship. When you're rolling for a weapon to hit, roll a die of a different color to find the hit location. Combining the hit location table with the systems display lets you immediately start marking off damage, instead of hunting for the correct group of boxes.
