Shockingly, I vote "sure, why not!" as well

And here's a tease of the new Suileman I've been working on as I've been re-training myself on Lightwave. Was trying to get it done for the calendar, and didn't make it in time. So I've stopped work on it for a short time while I work on some other non-Traveller related stuff for a bit.

Wow, that's nice. To me, this is the kind of stuff that keeps Traveller alive!

I am still working on the Serenity tutorial. I am on PDF 4 of 37. I am speeding up as I get used to the tools. I had started modeling in LightWave a couple years ago but stopped when I realized how much work it was. Now when I started back up, I did it with the understanding of the amount of work. I am pacing myself now.

WOW! Nice tease. Superb work, even if it isn't finished.
If I had 1% of that artistic talent, I'd actually attempt something...

What program did you model with before Lightwave? Or are you using a newer version of Lightwave that's way different?

I first started in 3D with trueSpace many, MANY moons ago, but then started using Lightwave around about version 4 at my cousin's school. The first version I bought for myself was 5.5, and I've used Lightwave ever since, upgrading to 6 through 9.6 along the way, but I never really pushing my skillset beyond what I'd initially learned. Leading up to this year's calendar work, I started going through all the training videos on NewTek's website and Treybor's Serenity tutorial to up my game to the next level. Been meaning to do that for **YEARS**

Sean's Firefly is what got me re-interested in 3D starship modeling. http://www.seansgallery.com/cgi-bin/...pening&menu=32
