Default Tne Ftl

Looking around on the forums I noticed that someone said that TNE had other FTL methods than the normal Jump drive. Now I recall that 2300 AD's shutterwarp was in Fire, Fusion & Steel ... but I don't really remember any of the others. My copies are in storage just now, would you like to help out a forgetful stranger?

And... seeing what Mongoose had put in their latest playtest did TNE, or perhaps I should say FF&S, have some of the computer options that Mongoose is adding?

I really need to dig my stuff out...

OK, first the FTL drives. You've got the standard jump drive (5% fuel per jump number, don't use it all on short jumps), Stutterwarp from 2300, Wormholes (keyhole, tramline...), Stargates, Subspace (Drive around on the hyperspace freeway), and Psionic Transfer Drives. (There's no place like home, no place like home.)

As for computer options, FF&S didn't have many. There was a chapter on cyber ware type stuff including subdermal armor, implant computers, and so on. All the bits to build a 'roid raging cyberpunk. I forgot to show my players that chapter.

They were assimilated. As will be the rest of you.

If you also have access to the TNE supplement Vampire this has additional equipment you can use for "borgs" as well as having the construction details for robots.

You'll have an easier time finding it if you look for Vampire Ships.

"Vampire Fleets" might be even easier.

So all I need is a cross and stake to beat Virus?

I really need to get my stuff out of the locker

What kind of raging 'roid stuff was in Vampire Fleets? I suppose I could translate 2300AD's comp tech to TNE.

Vampire Fleets had Robot construction rules including things like robot arms. If you want the real thing and not some half-way cyborg full of steroids and matching attitude, you can build it. It basically has a sequence that looks like the vehicle sequence with arms, and brains and other stuff. I also noticed a half page or so on 'belief structures.'
