But first, the small craft used in their descriptions:

Note: All designs presented here are "TL9" in the sense that this is the earliest TL for them to be built; most are constructed at TL10+ shipyards or even armed with TL10+ weapons after being constructed; the basic structure however, could be built as early as TL9.

TL9 Fuel Shuttle
The Fuel Shuttle is used to scoop and/or transport fuel for unstreamlined ships and stations.

HG design adapted to Book 2. Using a 99-ton steamlined hull, the Fuel Shuttle is capable of 2-G, carries up to 86 tons of fuel, and has a crew of one. No space is reserved for armament or cargo. It costs MCr25.3 (including architect's fees).

TL9 Shuttle
The Martian Mechanics MM-98 shuttle is one of the most common spacecraft in the known area of space [that is, IMTU], used by almost every polity to carry cargo and personnel over interplanetary distances.

HG design adapted to Book 2. Using a 90-ton streamlined hull, the Shuttle is capable of 3-G, carries 2.7 tons of fuel and requires a crew of one (or two, if a turret is installed). A single hardpoint is designated and one ton is set aside for fire control, though no turret or weapons are installed; a couch is already present for the gunner. There are 69 tons of excess space to be re-configured as the buyer desires. It costs MCr33 (including architect's fees).

Now, on to the stations:

TL9 Orbital Outpost (Type SU-1K)
This type of space station, the Stellardream StarHome v4, is designed to serve as a general-purpuse outpost or space facility and is reconfigurable for various needs. It is built at a shipyard and then transported to its intended star system and orbit by the Type-MT Jump Tug (see the Two Part Ship Designs thread).

Book 2 design. Using a 1,000-ton non-standard (unstreamlined) hull, the Orbital Outpost is generally immobile (though it is capable of limited orbital manouvering and orbit corrections) and has Power Plant-3. The fuel tankage of 400 tons supports up to more than a year of power plant operation and allows docking ships to be refueled. Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/2 computer. There are 20 staterooms. 10 Hardpoints have been designated and 10 tons have been set aside for fire control, though no turrets or weapons are installed. One Fuel Shuttle and one standard [as seen in Book 2] Ship's Boat are carried onboard. There are 113 tons of Cargo Space and 200 tons of Excess Space to be re-configured to the owner's specifications - additional cargo or fuel, more staterooms, a laboratory or factory or even fighter bays are some of the possibilities. The minimum crew nesecary to operate an Orbital Outpost is 6: One Commander, one Medic, two Engineers and two Shuttle Pilots. Up to ten more Gunners will be required if turrets are installed. The Orbital Outpost costs MCr231 (including architect's fees) and takes 30 months to build.

TL9 Space Station (Type SU-4K)
The TYC "Cosmograd" space station is one of the primary means of medium-scale orbital colonization and industrialization IMTU; it has enough Excess Space to allow for almost any kind of use. It is built at a shipyard and then transported to its intended star system and orbit by the Type-MT Jump Tug (see the Two Part Ship Designs thread).

Book 2 design. Using a 4,000-ton non-standard (unstreamlined) hull, the Cosmograd is generally immobile (though it is capable of limited orbital manouvering and orbit corrections) and has Power Plant-3. The fuel tankage of 500 tons supports up to more than a year of power plant operation and allows docking ships to be refueled. Adjacent to the bridge is a Model/3 computer. There are 60 staterooms. 40 Hardpoints have been designated and 40 tons have been set aside for fire control, though no turrets or weapons are installed. Two Fuel Shuttles and two Shuttles [as described in this thread] are carried onboard. There are 686 tons of Cargo Space and 2,000 tons of Excess Space to be re-configured to the owner's specifications - additional cargo or fuel, more staterooms, a laboratory or factory or even fighter bays are some of the possibilities. The minimum crew nesecary to operate a Cosmograd-class station is 12: One Commander, one Medic, six Engineers and four Shuttle Pilots. Up to forty more Gunners will be required if turrets are installed. The Cosmograd-class station costs MCr709.5 (including architect's fees) and takes 35 months to build.
