These are pretty good.

But I'd rather see them black/colored on a white background, so that if one wanted to print them, they wouldn't eat through the black ink/toner like there's no tomorrow.

I do prefer the colored ones over the print style, but I won't print them ever, the print style can be done, they just look a little plain to me:

You can use colors, just don't use a colored background. Many of us have limited toner/ink budgets.

It would be insane printing the black background ones, but if there is enough of interest, I would make the print style with a white background.

I have the overall sector map (which I believe I sent you), and here is a more finished product with adjoining subsector names on it; this as a word doc will provide a template to make more subsectors easily. Though I also made a pic, for where two sectors have a "cross roads" type intersection of worlds close enough on a low jump route.

Here is the nearly finished Stane Subsector:
