I suggested the following (slightly modified below) on another thread, as this seems to be closer to the actual colors one would see in vacuum:

Quote:
Spectral Classification

O - Blue
B - Blue/Blue-White
A - Blue-White
F - White
G - Yellow-White (traditionally called "yellow")
K - Yellow/Yellow-Orange (traditionally called "orange")
M - Pink-Orange (traditionally called "red")

L - Orange-Red
T - Cherise/Magenta
Y - (Infra-Red)

It should be mentioned that Type Y radiate in the near-IR spectrum, and several PC-eligible species can see into that range... which is how astronomers detect them. Several ≤M9 spectrals have been reclassed into the L, T, and Y classes. About 1.5 dozen are considered type Y.

Thanks, Aramis and Whurlorigan.

There is a difference between apparent and common colors, which is compounded by stars emitting radiation in most EM bandwidths...

Appreciate the input.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
