"Affectionately known as 'The Starship'..." i like it.

"Inshore Hydrographic Survey Ship". Does that make it a Scout?

I would so like to acquire something like this.

I think that based on mission load-out, this ship would definitely be a scout analogue (And especially if one equipped it with the latest milspec Rad. hardened Multicore Server with 10^100 gigabytes of storage capability for detailed star and terrestrial maps and gps tags & cultural data.).

How about a small 30Mw Thorium reactor Power Plant (check out the article in Wired Magazine)?

Default Hi

Along similar lines, if the ex-HMS Enterprize is a "scout" type vessel, I wonder what this ship would be.

Although it is listed in the above link as an expeditionary yacht, it had been recently converted for use on anti-piracy patrols, and it previously served as a survey vessel.

I guess it could be either a "yacht", "scout", some sort of small patrol vessel, or maybe a "Q-ship".
