Default Central Supply Catalogue is up for preorder

Is it just me or is $30 a lot for a fun browsing resource material item?

It includes some robot rules and such but it just seems a steep price for a supplement item.

What does everyone else think?

When I looked, it was 30 pounds (UK) or 50 dollars (US) for the pre-order.
(Not a comment, just a clarification).

EDIT: (FYI) It is the same price as the Core Book.

Thanks you are correct for the clarification but maybe I have been out of gaming for too long but that still seems a high price for supplement material like a supply catalog.

I am used to those kind of fun nice to have materials being a bit cheaper than the core books.

I guess it depends on the size of the book and the quantity of material on it, more than the fact of being a CB or a supplement...

I don't see even the number of pages the book has in the link you gave us...

Try the PDF and POD price for the Core Book at DTRPG and see if those are more to your budget. The CSC will probably be similarly priced.

I hear the new books are of outstanding physical print quality, so it may be art book graphics printing prices at work.

I tend to get PDFs for portability and price.

241 pages for the core book (just as a point of reference and an order of magnitude guess)

But also as a reference, the MgT 2300AD campaign revised book (about 310 pages) is priced at £ 19.99 (under $30, if I'm not wrong, remember I think on Euros)...

I would imagine all five core supplements mentioned in the core rulebook will go for $50.
