Default Solo Traveller

Back when CT was just T one of the big appeals was being able to play solitaire Traveller. I was wondering if anyone was very successful at this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to play by yourself using the CT rules?

I think the term was used more to describe such activities as generating characters, planets or subsectors and building ships either in between or in lieu of actual gaming.

There's a solo Scout game out there. I just can't remember the name of it off of the top of my head.

I solo CT all the time, most of my group prefers fantasy RPGs.

I suspect you may mean "Scout's Honour" here:

Mentioned in an earlier thread that might be of interest as well here:

In JTAS #13 there's an article on 'Real Time Traveller' that actually means playing solo-Traveller in real-time and keeping a log.

I find the best way to "Solo" an RPG is write stories. It allows you the ability to be creative and think through a character while not allowing the game to become Dice Rolls only.

I've started a solo game, and have begun detailing it in my blog. I've just acquired Traveller: Universe, so I expect to have decent maps relatively shortly to share with others.

I don't know about you guys but I was always told that playing with yourself was bad. Probably something to do with socialisation.
