Smile Reach Adventure 4: Last Flight of the Amuar

I'm looking for reviews of this adventure. The synopsis looks good.

I've never even heard of it before. If it's from the Mongoose TAS program, there might be some reviews on DTRPG.

Default I ran Amuar

I ran this adventure last year. It went reasonably well, but I encourage referees to make the encounters on the first few planets more interesting. My players got a little foggy-eyed during some of the build-up portions of the adventure. Once they got to Gollere, things really picked up and they started having a good time. The visit to Belgard was also a lot of fun.

The conclusion at [name removed to prevent spoiler!] was also really cool.

All in all, it's a strong adventure. Nice supporting materials, good NPCs, some nice new gear thrown in, and great use of the beloved Leviathan-class merchant cruiser.

Yes, thanks for the review @cgriffen. I'm going to pick up a copy if only to take a looksee how much difference there is to CT Adventure 4: Leviathan. I'm currently just starting to solo a campaign set here so any useful info in this new adventure will be fun.

Bought it. Haven't run or plundered it yet, both of which I will eventually do.

Good parts? It nicely sidesteps the huge problem with Classic's Leviathan; That a subsector next door to the Imperium for 1000 years is completely unknown. You can add additional adventures to it easily, especially during the "front end". The 200 dTon corvette design is a nice one too.

It's also written be Martin Dougherty, so you know there's a much better than average chance of the material being good, useful, adaptable, and "plunder-able". He always seems to write with not only the "straight" adventure in mind, but also with idea that people may want to borrow bits, tweak bits, and re-skin bits. "Portable" sort of explains what I'm trying to say.

Bad parts? Not any apart from Mongoose's usual lack of editing and their worthless angled deck plans. I want deck plans I can photocopy and enlarge so my players can then use figures or chits on them.

Recommendation? Buy it. If you don't run it straight - and you should - there is a lot you can borrow from it.
