Default [CT Only] atpollard's PbP Traveller (Psionics IMTU)

PSIONICS IMTU:

Psionic Strength (PSR) is the number of Psionic strength points that you have to spend to perform actual psionic actions. PSR peaks at age 18, decreases by 1 point per term after age 18, and remains constant after initial psionic training. PSR may be temporarily boosted with Psi Drigs, but is not permanently increased like STR or EDU frequently is.
Psionic Skill Level (ie. Telepathy-3) is the highest level of activity that the character can perform. A character typically gains 1 psionic skill level per term in each talent possessed.
PSR points are recovered at the rate of 1 point per hour irrespective of activity or rest.
A character expending more than his natural PSR points in 24 hours requires at least 1 day of complete rest from physical and psionic activity to recover.
A character expending more than double his natural PSR points in 24 hours requires at least 2 days of complete rest from physical and psionic activity to recover.
A character expending more than triple his natural PSR points in 24 hours requires at least 4 days of complete rest from physical and psionic activity to recover.

ROLLING FOR PSR (2d6):
PSR 12 (initial unmodified roll of 12 on 2D6) is a Natural Psionic and will manifest a gift with or without training.
PSR 9+ is Psionic, can be trained at The Institute, and has Maximum skill level equal to his PSR.
PSR 6-8 has Psionic potential, but does not qualify for The Institute. Maximum skill level will be different for each skill that the character posseses as follows: 1st skill = PSR (max); 2nd skill = PSR/2 (max); 3rd skill = PSR/3 (max); etc. (drop all fractions).
PSR 3-5 has no Psionic Potential all Psionic Talents are below skill 0.
PSR 2 (initial roll 2 on 2D6) is naturally immune to psionics - their anti-psi brain structure grants a natural 'psi shield'.

DRUGS:
Booster: will raise your skill level by +1 and raise your PSR by +3 (no upper limit) for 8 hours. Availability: roll 8+ on 2d6 (+ streetwise skill) at Cr 1000 per dose.
Double: will raise your skill level by +2 and raise your PSR by +6 (no upper limit) for 16 hours. Availability: roll 10+ on 2d6 (+ streetwise skill) at Cr 4000 per dose.
