But why would you want to compare the incomes of adult millionaires with the incomes of dependent children and infants? You'd compare him/her to other income earners (or potential earners, in the case of the unemployed). Thus, you wouldn't compare him to the entire world population - only to the population of others who are or could be earning an income, which presumably is the set from which they drew their data.
