So now I suppose we should start referring to 'normal' crystals as space crystals? I can live with that.

Ta Da ... TL 13+ Data Storage Crystals.

So if TL-1 is prototype and TL-2 is experimental, then I guess this would be TL-3 theretical research. That means that in 2017, Computers reached the dawn of TL 10. :)

Probably. Heck, I always felt like at least a third of the stuff from Star Trek will become fact just because we will name things that kinda sorta if-you-squint-and-look-sideways could be called [Insert Trek Term Here]. :D
