I refer to myself fondly as a faux engineer.

I have basically been a staff/training wonk since I came out of command of a CSE (Combat Support Equipment) company a decade back. If you're not familiar, it's essentially horizontal construction:the horizontal assets of a combat heavy battalion in an independent company, with no vertical assets. Of course I was an infantryman back then...

Now I am a fat LTC who teaches university full time and Command and General Staff College weekends.
