(rest of message) If you ever shop Lowe's, look for Steven in Hardware, I work 16 - 20 hours a week, usually mid morning - mid afternoon. Was full time, but can't anymore, had surgery and chemo for pancreatic cancer, which took up most of 2015. After effects, not as much strength or stamina. But, I live.
Alasdair is based on the 14th Century persona I have portrayed off and on in my involvement with the SCA since 1978. I'm in one of my fallow periods now. I have not "played" in several years, since falling ill and getting a pacemaker in 2008.
When I was in junior high school, portrayed an apprentice to the blacksmith at the living history museum in my home town. It's a reconstruction of a small New England village of the late 18th - early 19th centuries. Was also a camp boy with our town's American Revolution unit for awhile, then I found the SCA as noted.
Found Traveller about the same time, still have my Little Black Books. I'm a bit of a homebody these days, so (like last night) I use the character generation as a "solo game."
Happy to help. I am just trying to organize things in an "expandable" format with an eye toward future additional information and development, while also making sure that canon and non-canon material do not get confused. Feel free to go in and edit your character's "page" and change/add additional details of the character, if you have something you want to specify.
BTW, I noticed from your "About Me" Tab that you live in Saint Mary's County. I am one of the 17th Century Reenactors who does the 17th Century Grand Militia Muster at Saint Mary's College every September.
