Part 2
Someone may have sketched out some ship tables with class/condition/ and percentage of salvage available. Automated ship defenses and local defenses added after the battle to protect the site from scavengers was also discussed.
Great ideas I never really pursued and then later the adventure "Cold Grave" (I think that is the title) was released.
No idea if the writer of Cold Grave was the origin (or in collaboration) with the writer of the published adventure. I did buy the adventure, it was a good one.

Hi msprager,
Part 1
I never recovered this possibly false-memory...but I think the TML achieves would be the best place to look.
If memory serves (and that is a big 'if') the discussion sprang up around the thought of plundering the battle site...an astronomically large zone of space AND what plot hooks and/or excuses could place the PCs into a position to go poking around the restricted battle debris.
One scenario was that the PC's ship had been chartered to give a Veteran's Group a tour of the area. Then there were complications with the veterans (medical issues, pranks played by them, one wants a souvenir a specific ship he/she served upon, one or more of them hi-jack the PC's ship with the intent of recovering something 1. Imperial Secret or 2. evidence/proceeds of illegal activity.
Part 2 will follow

Hi,
I came across one of your older posts:
Battle of Two Suns
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Does anyone have on file or a link to any adventure set in the 1105-ish era where the PCs are asked to transport a ship load of Naval veterans into the site of the Battle of Two Suns. I am scouring my files and have not found it yet. If I remember there were randomized ship size/damage tables and including recoverable items."
I wrote the article you are referring to. It was in the SJG JTAS magazine and was published March 27, 2001. It was a series of linked adventures that could be run as a mini-campaign in the debris field of the Battle of Two Suns. It included Wreckage Encounter, Wreckage Condition, and Salvage Tables.
