Lucky you! I love it when I come across an old treasure like that - happens every time the Army makes me move (which has been too damn often the past several years).
I'll never forget the first Boot Hill game I played - all the time spent figure out the character's draw speed only to end up using a scattergun through the first gunfight. And it might as well have been another wargame as all the so-called role-playing was just the fluff leading up to the gunfight... but man, what fun.

Ha! I just found my old copy of Boot Hill last week while I was digging through some old game stuff in preparation for a game!

Just got around to checking out your profile and you brought up a happy memory.
My first game was Tobruk - PanzerBlitz was second. Then Boot Hill and Traveller and finally D&D and lots more after that.
