Jehundai Beach near Stenhouse Downport
Markham (Old Expanses 0340)

This is Ewa Boissier embedded with 5 Troop of Charlie Company. We are now on the ground of planet Markham after a 5 day battle to achieve system superiority by the Fleet. I arrived here on the second assault wave riding down with Sergeant Munro's section in their combat lander. There was minimal resistance on the way down but we soon saw action here at Jehundai beach where attempts to create a bridgehead for the Army's assault boats were being thwarted by rocket batteries.

The first boats have landed bringing the armour of the elite 2nd Grav Tank Brigade. Here they are now.....

The 2nd Grav Tank Brigade is a unit with a history dating back to Terra of the Twentieth Century. Their black uniforms make them easily mistaken for a Confederation Marine unit though they claim they've worn black since soon after their formation.

The brigade's main armament is the 30 ton Liberator Heavy Grav Tank, a Tech 13 design that provides massive firepower and protection for its four man crew.

Yeah I was bored, it's a stock model on a stock background. 30 seconds work and 90 minutes to render. It'll be better next time, honest.

Kind of Tron-ish (not in a bad way mind you). I like it, but not for any (?) realism (an entirely subjective quality in SF of course ), just for the cool look factor. Would make a nice showy parade tank (and it's good to see the reporter is back on assignment )
