Well, it has been a while, hasn't it? I've been in and out, playing around in other worlds (SecondLife, for one), but always coming back to Traveller in the end.

So, a project I've been working on since ... well, a *really* long time ... is starting to come together. I have lost data with two separate problems: first, older Excel versions have trouble corrupting data when the file gets up to 50+MB, it seems; second, my portable hard-drive crashed (and, no, I hadn't backed it up adequately ). So, re-work was going to happen anyway.

The premise is a hi-tech colony project left OTU space at the time of the Civil Wars, filled with a lot of Solomani, and some Vilani, headed out for parts mostly unknown. Their target was a piece of the next spiral arm over. 486 years later, they span 8 sectors, on either side of a rift, reduced to a TL of 12 (to limit them to jump-3). There are empires large and small, confederations, theocracies, kleptocracies, republics, and more. And, most of that is in just the 1+ sector I have mostly completed!

I am going to try a play-by-post game in the near future (once that 1+ sector is done). For that, I have selected the same website that hosted our Official 30th Anniversary Classic Traveller Play-by-Post game five years ago. Mine is titled Vol'nost', which is the Slovak word for freedom. The idea is mostly to free the game from the constraints of the OTU: the empire, the politics of Solomani, the very high tech, and the sheer immensity of it all. Heck, most of the polities in this sector have been in existence for less than 50 years. (Jump was only 're-discovered' 150 years ago.)

So, here's some links:
The teaser
The library (some of the system/world data is now out of date, but will be updated)
The partially complete sector+ (you'll have to scroll around, it's a big pic)

Let me know what you think, so far.

(Edit: fixed the star chart link to a corrected star chart.)

Oh criminy, you had to go find that. LOL. I'm still banging away on the subsector books. I have been stuck because I had some feedback saying "Wow, this is all the information you're giving about the systems? That doesn't seem like a lot." So, I had to get into WBH and work out more info on each friggin' world and moon. Now I just have to figure out how to get it into a usable format, then I just have to move all the MBs of data into the book files.............
