I really have no desire to go back into film and video. I did, even up until earlier last year, but knowing what I know now, and how I was steered toward film and video, I simply refuse.

I might have put up with Hollywood shenanigans to see Traveller get put up on the screen, but that's about it.

Considering how shabbily I was treated on other game forums (a lot of it was intentional to steer me away from games), and given the experience I had working on features and local video, I think I can say I'm done with visual mass media; film and video on all levels, no broadcasting of any kind either.

My interest was not in media itself, but bringing a lot of the really fantastic ideas of game authors of years' past to a visual format.

If you've read my previous entries on how film and video are used today, specifically for the scifi genre, then you already know my philosophical objections.

I would refer you to the scene in THX-1138 with George Lucas's commentary on where Robert Duvall's character is being tortured. And that sums up why I don't want to work not just for Lucas, but for today's mass media as a whole.

Thanks for reading.
