No, this is not my 44th wedding anniversary. That occurred last year. May 23, 2020 is the 44th anniversary of me waking up with the weird circulatory disorder that resulted in roughly a year in military hospitals, my medical retirement from the army, and now forty-four years of pain and counting. This has not been a very happy week, especially with having been cooped up for several weeks. Now that things are sort of opening up, it is summer, which is my worst time of year, as I am heat-sensitive, and cannot handle anything much over 80 degrees. The result is a lot of feelings of frustration at not being able to do things when it was cooler. I just hope that things are somewhat back to normal by the Fall, so that I can get out some.

I will probably be doing better by the end of next week, as I am planning to go out to lunch with a friend or two, which will be a good morale raiser. And then a hair cut. I am shaggier than I have been in years, and it is bugging me. The place where I get my hair cut sent me a text saying that they can open on June 1st, and hopefully that will be the case. I not, I am going to find someone in Wisconsin to do it.

I do keep thinking of appropriate fates for our morbidly obese governor, and I keep coming up with a year of eating nothing but MREs, without the benefit of any Tabasco Sauce. And just distilled water to drink.
