I suspect that few of the forum are aware of it, but a church in Holly Springs, Mississippi was fire bombed and destroyed on Wednesday. It does not look like the liberal mass media bothered to cover the story, as it was a predominately white church. It was engaged in a lawsuit with the city of Holly Springs over the right to meet as a congregation in the church building. The governor of Mississippi has declared churches essential, but the city of Holly Springs decided that they were not, and kept trying to close the church down. As there was a message spray-painted on the property of the church, it is clearly arson. The message was. and I quote.

Quote:
“Bet you stay home now you hypokrits,”
If the terrorist who perpetrated this, and they are terrorists, and I hope that they will be so prosecuted when caught, thinks that this will be the case, they are badly mistaken. If there is anything that guarantees that the church members will not stay home, it is something like this. That church will be meeting somewhere on Sunday, be it in the open air or in rented facilities outside of the city boundaries, but they will be meeting. The terrorist's actions also have put the city of Holly Springs under a federal microscope, as anything like this is automatically a federal crime, and along with the FBI comers the U.S. Department of Justice, which has made it pretty clear that it takes a very dim view of cities or states blocking church services. Every word spoken by anyone it the city government is going to be scrutinized for any support for violence against the church, and that goes for any and all newspaper comments and editiorials. It also puts the city into a bind with respect to continuing to attack the church. Continuing to suppress all meetings would put them on the side of the terrorists, and once the terrorists figure out that the church is not the building, but the church members, then the members and pastor become the targets. Quite simply, the next step will be to start killing the pastor and the church members. I can anticipate that coming. I wonder if the liberal media will ignore that.
